Plain-language terms for roasters, importers and producers using mvbean.com.

1. Who we are

MV Bean Company is operated by M&V Trading SAS, a company based in Bogotá, Colombia. mvbean.com connects specialty coffee producers with roasters and importers. Contact: admin@mvbean.com.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate company information. We verify new buyer and producer accounts and may decline or suspend an account. You are responsible for your login and for activity under your account.

3. Offers and orders

Lots, prices and availability shown on the site are not a binding sale until our team approves your offer and the order is confirmed. Micro-lots are sold at the listed price per lb. For large lots you may propose a price, which we may accept, counter or decline.

4. Prices

Prices are in US dollars per pound, FOB Colombia. Freight, insurance, import duties and taxes in your country are not included and are your responsibility.

5. Payment

40% of the order value is paid up front to confirm the order, and 60% is paid when the coffee ships. Payment instructions are sent with your approved offer. We may delay shipment until payments due are received.

6. Samples

Samples are 350 g. Our team sends you a quote for your samples. They ship from our lab in Colombia 2 to 5 days after purchase.

7. Shipping and delivery

For micro-lots you give us a delivery address and we send you a shipping quote before the order is confirmed. Large lots are sold FOB Colombia: you appoint the freight forwarder, and we can introduce a shipping agent.

8. Quality and lot replacement

Each lot is published with its cupping score and physical analysis. If the coffee you receive does not match its lab report, we will replace the lot. The original lot must be returned to an address we authorize, and we cover the return cost. Claims are processed 5 days after the coffee arrives. Please contact us with photos and the lot code so we can confirm the process. Natural variation in the cup between a sample and a lot is not by itself a mismatch with the lab report.

9. Producer information

Producer farms stay anonymous until an order is confirmed. You agree not to use the information on the site to bypass MV Bean Company and contact producers directly about lots offered here.

10. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for the affected lot. We are not liable for indirect losses or for delays outside our control.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Colombia.
