Pricing and payment terms
No hidden layers: every lot shows its price per lb, FOB Colombia, in US dollars.
What FOB Colombia means
The price covers the coffee, milling, quality control and export from Colombia, up to the point the coffee is loaded for shipment. Freight, insurance, import duties and taxes in your country are not included.
Payment: 40% up front, 60% at shipment
- 40% of the order value is paid up front, once our team approves your offer, to confirm the order.
- The remaining 60% is paid when the coffee ships.
- Example (illustrative): a 50 kg box (110.2 lb) at $5.90/lb is about $650. That is about $260 up front and about $390 at shipment, before freight.
Samples
Samples are 350 g. Add the lots you want to your sample box and our team will send you a quote. Samples ship from our lab in Colombia 2 to 5 days after purchase, with tracking.
Shipping
- Micro-lots (boxes of 50 kg): you give us your delivery address and we send you a shipping quote before anything is confirmed.
- Large lots (pallets of 700 kg): sold FOB Colombia. We hand the coffee to your freight forwarder and can put you in touch with a shipping agent.
Quality promise
If the coffee does not match its lab report, we replace the lot. The original is returned to an address we authorize, and MV Bean pays the return freight. Claims are processed 5 days after the coffee arrives.
